Find Out if CoolSculpting® at Our Charleston, SC, Practice is Right for You

After performing thousands of successful treatments since becoming South Carolina’s very first CoolSculpting® practice in 2010, we have acquired a wealth of knowledge about body sculpting from treating Charleston, SC, area patients safely and successfully. While only an in-person assessment with a discussion of your medical history and treatment goals can truly determine if the procedure is right for you, below are some characteristics that a good CoolSculpting® candidate might possess.

Let one of our experienced providers help you determine if you are an appropriate candidate for CoolSculpting®, a non-surgical, non-invasive treatment for body sculpting at our Charleston, SC, area practice.

What to Ask Yourself If You’re Considering Body Sculpting

Before coming in for a body sculpting consultation with one of our dedicated CoolSculpting® providers, it would be helpful for you to bring any medical information you believe may be relevant, and to ask yourself the following questions:

Do I Understand What Body Sculpting Can Achieve?

Understanding what body sculpting can do includes learning about how it works, how the body processes fat cells, and how the results you achieve will be unique to your body structure. The ultimate goal to aim for in body sculpting (or any other cosmetic treatment, for that matter) is gradual improvement, not perfection. Patients who understand and accept this find they are very happy with the changes they see. It is also especially important to understand that body sculpting is strictly a cosmetic treatment for localized deposits of fat. It will not result in weight loss.

Am I As Healthy as I Can Be?

As we noted above, targeted fat reduction is a distinct process from weight reduction, but it does work most effectively if you already practice appropriate diet, hydration, and exercise routines that allow you to stay within a healthy weight range. This brings us to our next question for you:

Am I Prepared to Maintain My Results with Healthy Lifestyle Measures?

Once CoolSculpting® destroys the targeted fat cells, rest assured that they are gone for good and cannot “grow back,” as they are flushed out of the body through its natural processes. However, other fat cells in the body could still increase in size if you gain a significant amount of weight.

To ensure the effects of body sculpting treatments last, you must stay on track with a healthy diet and exercise regimen. This is an easy ask if you already practice such measures — and in our experience, patients have been so happy with their results that it inspires them to make further improvements to their lifestyle and maintain their physique.
